gosh, this summer has to be the best in both waves and weather. look how blue the sky is! and look how clean the water is! these surfers from sendai were super stoked to be right here, right now.

when i went to pick up the crew from their hotel, i seen a local guy walking toward me. i thought he was a Waikiki Beach Boy or some heavy hawaiian local guy. it was Tanaka-san! haha. he looks so local! we were laughing before we even knew each other. only a surfers way of communicating.

Hayato-san caught some really good long ones. i was following behind him but couldn’t keep up. super smooth surfer.

and Kiyomi-san was a professional bodyboarder in japan. super good wave knowledge and i was stoked to see her doing some spins.

had a great time with this crew. going to see them again this morning so i’m looking forward to another morning of good waves, good weather, good food, and good laughs. see you guys soon!
