been posting blogs from my iphone and sometimes the photo posts, and sometimes it doesn’t. i use to get frustrated from this complicated digital world, but at the same time, it can’t be helped. i’m realizing that nothing in this world is perfect and it helps me live a stress free life. anyway, this is one of the photos that didn’t make it to my english blog. a crazy hostage situation. this is in brazil and the hostage has a bomb strapped to him. i’m not sure what i would do in a situation like this. scary.

been looking around for rooms to rent here in hawaii for a friend. it’s kind of like a hostel/homestay kind of thing. a local house in a local neighborhood. $40/night is much cheaper than a hotel in waikiki. why not right? now my friend can stay twice as longer than usual if he had to get a hotel room. i just got back from checking out this house and it was pretty cool. and the lady was pretty cool too. alternative affordable living in hawaii.

i’m always very lucky to surf with honeymooners. these 2 never surfed together, but now they do. a great start to a great marriage. thank you Saito-san and Shuko-san for the wonderful 2 days!

like i always say, the ocean can bring out the biggest smiles in anyone.

before we went surfing, i told Shuko-san; guarantee you will stand up. she didn’t believe me until her first wave. after this, it was too easy for her.

Saito-san just want to get better and better. we were working on a few basic things and wave after wave, he was surfing better and better. so stoked to see him ripping!

i’m sure Saito-san will practice more in japan and come to hawaii next year surfing better than ever.
