another day and another wonderful family. i surfed with the Watanabe-san family today and i was stoked to see them again. their surfing is getting better and better and i’m always happy to see the smiles. after our morning surf, we went to chinatown to eat ay my favorite dim sum restaurant. i’m glad everybody enjoyed it!!! thank you Watanabe-san, Michiko-san, and Noe-chan for a wonderful morning!!!

it was Noe-chan’s 3rd time surfing and she is getting better and better. such a cute 16 year old girl with a bright future!

Watanabe-san did great today! he caught so many good long waves and rode them perfectly.

i’m sure he will keep on surfing because after each wave, i could tell by his smile that he was so happy. me too!

then i went surfing with Team Ina in the afternoon and the waves were perfect!!! shoulder high sets, perfect winds, perfect conditions, and perfect weather.

and to close out a perfect day with a perfect meal. i ate so much sushi that i feel like i’m living in a dream. this O-toro was the best of the best. and no, this is not japan, this is hawaii! i’m so satisfied that nothing else could make me a happier guy.

i’ve been eating the best sushi in japan for the past 2 years. the place is called Ohchi and is located in Azabu, Tokyo. always fresh, always delicious, and always the best! Ohchi-san holding up a filet of japan’s best blue fin tuna. omg, it melts in your mouth! i can’t wait to go back again! anyway, Ohchi-san finally had the golden opportunity to come to hawaii to surf!!!

yes, Team Ina continuing to live the dream life! ever since Inaida-san started surfing 3 years ago, i’ve just been watching him get better and better. this is a perfect wave, and perfect style. balance, strength, and confidence. great team, and great surfing!

Yuki-san’s surfing got so good that the photographer can’t keep up anymore. haha. when she stands up, she’s flying down the line and nobody can catch her. i still hear over and over from local surfers “wow, that girl got so good so fast.” and i always say, “yes she did!”
