oh my goodness!!!! did you see the sunrise this morning? i sure did. i was in the middle of the ocean watching it with whales. the amazing golden diamond head to start off my wonderful day!

then i went for a snorkel outside diamond head. the water was about 30′ and very clear. i could see a monster tako trying to peak his head out of his hole. i dive down, i tickle him, he turns over, i grab his legs and wrestle him out of the hole, he grabs my mask and rips it off, i’m blind underwater, i swim up with this monster tako around my head trying to eat me for breakfast. i see his head, grab it, bite him in the brain between his eyes, kill it, and put him on the boat. that’s 2 monster takos in 2 days. so happy!

i see the coolest things in the ocean. these 3 older guys going out on a tiny boat for a fishing experience. so funny.

i’ve always been fascinated with fish ever since i was a kid. so going to the fish markets all over the world is my favorite thing to do. i thought i’d seen it all until i went to tsukiji market. i was fascinated with the fish, the workers, the culture, and everything in between. my brain is starving for this kind of experiences and i can’t wait for the next one.

i’ve been finding all kinds of things in the ocean. people losing things everyday here.

year after year i hear the great surfing stories from my friend in the philippines. this story was just a few days ago. omg, i want to go there right now!

and when Scott tells me it’s good, it’s good! imagine getting barreled on a perfect wave in the philippine jungle island. next vacation, i’m going there again!

i’ve been wanting to go to the lion king in hawaii and finally the time has come. next week i’m going!
stay tuned for a 20′ plus swell this weekend. picking up on saturday and peaking with huge 50′ face sets on sunday. the waiting period for the eddie aikau ends on friday the 28th of this month so no more eddie. bummer.

South shore tiny and offshore. Diamond Head chest high and perfect. Winds are North at 5-10mph today.
I think Sandy Beach is best!
Cloudy with some rain in the morning. Hopefully sunny and warm later. Going sailing!
