rembember Go Airlines? well, it’s GONE! this mainland based company came to hawaii 8 years ago and screwed everything up. the practiced unfair competition and sold airfares to outer islands for 99 cents. that forced longtime Aloha Airlines to shut down. now that Go is gone, not too many people feel bad for them. i sure don’t.

i spent my whole morning tuning up a gun for my nephew. i use to love to fix and customize spearguns before but have no time these days. it’s really relaxing and rewarding to put a whole gun together piece by piece and customize it for somebody. i hope Seth likes it because i know this setup is the best for him right now.

as for me, my setup is almost there. i can’t believe i spent over $600 already and i still have to spend another $300. is it worth it? well, if i spear a tuna, it is. if i don’t, it wasn’t. simple.

i took a perfect shot on a good size opelu kala. the gun seems to be working good and i just have to test it out one more time before i pack it up.
great surf session this afternoon followed by a great dinner. just another great day. going to sleep by 10pm and waking up at 5am to work out, and get ready for an all day back to back surf sessions. good night.

My Lovely View Today!

Fish vs. Man? Fish WINS!!! check out this fishing boat that caught a marlin. i think they estimated the power of this great big fish! the marlin fought for its life and won! he must have swam away laughing at this $100,000 boat as it sank.

blue water diving is so relaxing and exciting. jumping in the ocean and just waiting for something to happen. each fish acts differently and you have to kind of read what their next move will be. check me out closing in on some mahimahi’s. i caught one and the other 2 ran away. opps, swam away. somedays you see fish, most days you don’t. it’s full on hunting as you never ever know what will happen.

i ate a poke bowl yesterday at Ono Seafood in kapahulu for lunch. it was really good, BUT, would have been really better if i caught the tuna. i hope i don’t forget to take shoyu, sesame oil, and hawaiian salt to panama because this is the first thing i want to make after i spear a tuna. i’m just trying to think very very positive and i can see it happening! wow!
