i’d never thought the day would come that i would have to say bye bye to my baby. i had this amazing boat for a long time. she has taken care of me, got me to places safely, caught me lots of fish, took me to a lot of dolphins whales and turtles, and has entertained hundreds of people. but as it sit in my garage for the past month, i knew that it was time to say goodbye and pass her on to a new owner. i was in no rush and really didn’t care if it sold or not, but as soon as i posted it for sale, i received 25 offers. people from oahu, and people from other islands wanting to buy her asap. i stuck with the first person who was interested. Justin is from wahiawa and came to check her out. i know he wanted her really bad and after talking to him a lot, i knew he was the right person. it wasn’t about the money in this situation, it was about the person. now, i’m glad she is in the right hands and will be taken care of.

when Justin drove her away yesterday, it was pretty sad. it felt like all my memories of her just vanished. but when i think about it, i must move forward in my life. move on to bigger and better things. i can’t hold on to a 14′ boat if my dream is to sail around the world right? so it’s the next step forward for me. going to experience new things, take on new challenges, and keep dreaming for the ultimate sail around the world! bon voyage!
look good at this photo and you can see Justin giving me the shaka. haha.

Giant Tako vs. Me!

oh my goodness!!!! did you see the sunrise this morning? i sure did. i was in the middle of the ocean watching it with whales. the amazing golden diamond head to start off my wonderful day!

then i went for a snorkel outside diamond head. the water was about 30′ and very clear. i could see a monster tako trying to peak his head out of his hole. i dive down, i tickle him, he turns over, i grab his legs and wrestle him out of the hole, he grabs my mask and rips it off, i’m blind underwater, i swim up with this monster tako around my head trying to eat me for breakfast. i see his head, grab it, bite him in the brain between his eyes, kill it, and put him on the boat. that’s 2 monster takos in 2 days. so happy!

i see the coolest things in the ocean. these 3 older guys going out on a tiny boat for a fishing experience. so funny.

thank you Yuko-chan for my favorite snack to eat when i’m falling asleep driving.
