Jounetsu-Tairiku: Free Diver

photo-134
i just found out that my friend Tomoka Fukuda is going to be on tv! it’s a very popular documentary called Jounetsu Tairiku. they are going to feature her as a free diver. it’s so awesome to have met this wonderful girl a while back in okinawa. she always shared her dream of becoming a champion free diver. back then, she could only dive 20 meters, now she dives 80 meters. we dove a few times together and i remember watching her swimming so gracefully under water like a mermaid. now she wants to free dive 100 meters and i know she can do it. a beautiful person, a beautiful heart, and a beautiful dream. Go-Tomoka!

Truffle in Japan!

photo 81
it is the season for truffle! i’ve tried it for the first time in my life last year in japan. my first impression? Yucky!!! it was stink, it had a weird texture, and it made me feel weird. but after eating it a few times, i started to like the smell, texture, and feeling. it’s like a natural high that makes me excited and talkative! yeah, talk more than i already do. haha. take a chunk, dip it into salt, and sip on good wine. this is the luxury world i’ve been learning about for the past 3 years. a different world, but a great one!

and of course sipping on the worlds best wine enhances the feeling even more. i love this place and every time i go there, i love it even more!
