every year i go to waikiki for halloween. this year, i was lazy. i wanted to go but after i saw all the traffic, i decided to sleep instead. no parking, lots of traffic, and too many people. i think i’m finally growing up. haha.

so i get up early and go down to costco before it opens. i needed a new tire for the truck. i thought i was early but there were 15 cars in front of mine. the guy told me it would take over 3 hours. forget it! i ate a hotdog and headed to sams club. i drop off the truck and waited over 4 hours!!!! OMG! what a wasted day!

i was watching my nephew surf his heat at the sunset pro yesterday. Isaiah Moniz is smooth, strong, and smart. and once he puts it all together, nobody can beat him! he won his heat easily. in fact, he won all his heats easily.

power off the bottom turn. i’m so proud of this kid! he hurt his knee for the past year so hasn’t been surfing contests. now it’s almost healed and his surfing is right back on track. this kid is beating top professional surfers from around the world.

everybody tells me Isaiah is the good looking one of all the kids. half japanese, half hawaiian. he’s 18 years old now so all the young girls better be careful. haha. oh, i was down at ala moana this evening and a guy came up to me and said “hey, your nephew did good today!” i said “yeah, he won his morning heat.” then the guy says “he just won his heat again now!”

OMG, Isaiah is in the round of 32! one more round until the quarter finals. i’m so happy! check out some of his scores. big scores with big boys!

i wanted to thank Yumi-san for sending me her halloween experience in osaka. what a cool costume!!! and thank you for sending me other photos of the halloween scene in japan. i wish i was there!
