i was watching the 2013 Surfer Poll Awards that was taking place in australia. it was so good to see Kelia Moniz in front of the entire surfing world of media. she looked a little nervous during her speech but anybody would. good to see all the world champions all at one location. this is part of surfing history.

then as the camera panned on mick fanning, i seen a familiar face. OMG! that’s my sister in the front right of the photo. i had no idea she even went to australia. good to see all the love and support for our precious Kelia Moniz.

and OMG! check out this photo circulating on the internet. are you kidding???? it has always been my dream to take a photo like this as a photographer, and also free dive with a whale as a diver. i’m going to take my boat out and look for whales. anybody want to be my model?
