wow, the waves were super fun today in town. hardly anybody with enough energy left to be surfing. but me, i’m still energized and want to surf every single day! had a great time with Yokota-san today. but first, check out the photos from yesterdays waikiki session with Kelia Moniz and family.

yes, there was an amazing double rainbow yesterday and luckily i had my camera!

the birthday boy Isaiah Moniz stand up paddling. pretty cool to see these kids charging pipeline on the north shore and then coming to town in the summer and just having a good time. that’s what surfing is all about.

Gen and Joshua trying to catch dinner for the bbq last night. no luck! i told the boys to dive instead. at least they would have brought back something.

Seth Moniz too trying to catch dinner. why fish when you can dive?

the queen’s of waikiki! stay away!

Kelia surfing with her cousin that loves her so much.

if i see japanese, i shoot. why? because i like japanese.

i had a blast riding waves with the canoe. i was supposed to be paddling and sitting down in the front but i couldn’t miss this photo opportunity. so i took it.

Roxy girls Kelia Moniz and Bruna enjoying the sun and fun in waikiki. cool shot!
well, it’s going to be a very busy summer for me so better get some sleep. surf all day, sleep all night. what a great healthy life!
Kelia Moniz + Family in Waikiki
Local Style B-Day BBQ
i had so much fun yesterday. took a motorcycle ride around the east side exploring places i haven’t been to before. it felt super cool to see deep hawaii. the kind of deep i never even knew existed. it’s amazing how you see much more on a motorcycle rather than in a car. freedom! then went to meet Kelia and the Moniz family in waikiki. surfed, canoed, took photos, and had so much fun. will download the photos tomorrow.

then went to the Moniz house for a BBQ Birthday party for Isaiah Moniz. steak, fish, chicken, salad, and laughs. this is how we celebrate birthdays in our family.

the 2 foxy roxy girls. i was so happy that Kelia came back to hawaii yesteray for a few weeks. hope to get more surfing time with her. and if you want to see her face to face, the roxy contest is coming up in 2 weeks at queen’s.

birthday cake, birthday song, and birthday candles. congratulations Isaiah!

the kids are growing up so fast. i’m super happy to be their uncle watching every step along the way.

while the rest of the family was celebrating in the house, my brother was in the dark garage fixing the boys boat motor. it was the first time for my brother fixing a honda 4 stroke motor but he’s such a good mechanic that he can fix anything. and yes, he fixed it so expect the boys to be using the boat first thing this morning. i already placed an order of some fish i want to eat. come on boys!
