Hawaiian Mango Season

photo 1
i stopped by my grandpa’s house and guess what? it’s mango season! my grandpa’s mangos are the best!!! so big and so sweet. in a month, some should be ready and i can’t wait to get my teeth in the juicy mangos.

when my grandma and grandpa bought land in aina hina 65 years ago, there was absolutely nothing. they built a house, and planted a mango tree. and ever since, the mango tree has been feeding generations after generations. gosh, it was so good to see my grandpa. still driving, still healthy, and still smiling.
