had a great time surfing with Kiyotou-san from shikoku. a really good surfer that came to hawaii for the marathon and surf session. good luck in the marathon today and hope you still can surf tomorrow because we’re going to challenge the north shore!!!! see you tomorrow morning.

when ever i go to eat at Imanas tei, i usually go for the nabe. i totally forgot how good the sashimi was. now i’m going for the sashimi and nabe! lucky!

my favorite has to be the molokai ama ebi. it tasted like lobster! then they fried the head for us and that was excellent too.

start off with a cold asahi beer. then eat some fresh sashimi, then have the best chanko nabe on the island. what more can us surfers ask for?

yesterdays pipeline was perfect! super big and challenging. i was stoked to see most of the locals advancing to to the next round. kelly slater and joel parkinson battle for the world title later today. don’t miss it! photo: ASP
