hey Yuichi-san, thank you for the information on the tv program my brother in law Tony Moniz was on in japan. a lot of people told me about the show Maki Claude did with him. cool how surfers unite!
Mr. and Mrs. Nomura, Keep on surfing!
i’m glad you rode some long waves. hope to see you again!
the shopping spree continues. i was in macy’s today and the whole store was on sale! the home department had a 40% sale and it ends tomorrow. what great timing! bought some cool stuff for the condo. then when i was walking out, i seen christmas trees. i had to stop and look at my calendar. isn’t it too early? anyway, christmas is a happy time in hawaii so happy we will be!
Go-Naminori Official Blogger Akeo Waseda showed up to okinawa 2 days before i had to leave. Akeo is another hard core traveling professional surfer that charges big waves. i was super stoked to see and surf with this positive guy. but kind of bummed i had to leave so soon.
then i just checked his blog and OMG!!!! he got hurt!!!! i know that feeling all too well of getting hurt in okinawa. hey Akeo, i wish you a speedy recovery. recover and surf! see you in the water.

Fine Dining Hawaii: 53 By The Sea
remember the old John Dominis? well, they closed, then a japanese company rebuilt a fine dining restaurant called 53 By The Sea. anyway, we went to investigate.
i was pretty impressed by this huge door. probably the biggest door in hawaii. and once you open it.
gorgeous! fancy, clean, and top of the line. if you want to impress your girlfriend, this is definitely the place to do it.
it just opened last week and was pretty crowded already. the food was good, the service was good, and the whole experience was awesome. i would highly recommend this restaurant to everybody.
just to sit at the bar is awesome. they have a full bar stocked with everything you can imagine. oh wait! the didn’t have corona! that was the only bummer. but that turned out fine because my friend ordered a bottle of dom perignon instead. haha. they have live jazz music with a guy playing on a one of a kind piano. in fact, the only one in hawaii.
grappa or port wine? usually we have grappa for our desert drink. then i took a sip of this port wine. loved it! it was my first port wine experience and not my last.
want romance? watch waikiki and diamond head go from sunset to city lights. then watch all the kewalo’s surfer boys ripping up the waves right in front of you. can’t beat this view and to me, it’s the best hawaii has to offer.
when you order a drink, the bartender comes with his portable bar and gives you a show.
highly recommended by my friends and me. they didn’t advertise yet but once they do, this place will be by reservations only. the seafood platter is a must. the lasagna is a must. and the tiramisu is a must. see you there.
