it’s funny how a lot of people approach me and say “hey, your the youtube guy.” i haven’t realized how many people around the world watch my videos. i dug into the analytics and was surprised to see the numbers. Japan is #1, USA #2, and Brazil is #3. most of the viewers are in the age of 34-54. that’s funny because that’s the audience i was targeting. i was kind of bummed to see that 83.2% of the people were male. i wanted more female viewers. haha. how do i get more female viewers? watch to see what’s next and that 16.8% number will go up for sure. just give me time to put another video together. i was thinking about running down waikiki naked? haha.

a couple of people also came up to me and said “wow, i bet your rich from making money off your youtube.” i heard a rumor that youtube pays people $10,000 per every 1 million views. if i was in it for the money, i would have $60,000 in my bank. but no, the real reason i do this is to show people around the world the beauty of hawaii, show people around the world my beautiful friends, and show people around the world how to live a happy life off surfing. surfing has given me a wonderful career and now i want to encourage people to live the same dream i’m living. once you start surfing, your life will never be the same.
last, i want to leave you off with one of my favorite videos. this was 4 years ago when the 2 boys slept over at my house. i woke up seth and shun for a taste of my early morning dawn patrols. it was hard to get them to the beach, but once they hit the water, it was all good! and the thing i’m wondering is “why does youtube put ads on my videos without my permission? i’ve been seeing that a lot and even sent them an email. no response of course. maybe i should start collecting money? weird.”
