A New Born Surfer

IMG_4284 copy
taking out kids surfing is probably the most rewarding thing i’ve done. their just so pure and innocent. i’ve taken over a hundred kids surfing and i remember each one. it’s like i’m living my childhood memories again. till this day, i remember the first wave i caught when i was 6 years old. i remember riding the white water at haleiwa just as it was yesterday. so reliving the moment is always fun and i think these kids will remember their first wave for the rest of their lives. this is Marine, he broke his finger a few days before we were supposed to go surfing but he still wanted to go. we went out, we caught so many waves, and i’ll remember this day forever!

when i first started taking kids tandem on my board, a couple of them fell off. now, i got it mastered and if you ride on my board, you’re in a safe place. we surf together, we fall together, and we laugh together.

Marine’s dad was out surfing with us. i’m sure he was a proud and happy father to be surfing with his son here in hawaii. with the ocean, the bond just gets stronger and stronger. keep on surfing!
