we’re planning a dinner party coming up so what do you think we should cook? fish right!!! hayato and i are going to load up on expensive kumu’s that chef craig sako will cook for us. we just need a few more then everybody will be happy…

we pull up to dive spot 1. spear 2 kumu’s, 1 munu, and 1 uhu. great start. if it wasn’t for that aggressive shark that kept chasing our fish away, we could have caught much more….

we had a barbecue at my house the other night. good friends having a good talk. talking about business, talking about blogs, and talking about life. mostly laughing…

today was a great day. for surfers like us, waves or no waves, we are happy! i checked the surf today and it was junky. great! hook the boat up to my car, put it in the water, and catch dinner! diving with 2 of my good friends who both had dreams. both came true on this day!

pakana is my tako man. he can spot a tako from 40′ up. a great tako eye but also a great spear fisherman. today was his first time he ever caught a moana kali. and look how big it is!!! it could probably be a state record weighting well over 5 lbs….

hayato dream was always to catch an Ulua or GT. i seen him have so many chances but never could complete the job. and i could imagine his frustrations throughout the years. but today was his day. the ulua’s were home and hayato landed his first GT. a 32 lbs. beast! happy? i think he’ll be sleeping with a big smile on his face tonight….
**wanted to congratulate my 2 friends for accomplishing something they never gave up on. now it’s time go get a bigger one!!! and guess what, i got the video of it..
**and last, today was a first time for me too! it was the first time i swam up to a huge mama whale and her baby. it was nuts! felt like i was on the discovery channel. happy, but nervous. can’t wait to do it again….
