good morning. you can call it jet lag or you can call it sleeping disorder. either or, i feel like i drank 5 cups of coffee. i feel like doing everything! first, i’ll be on my computer until my eyes say stop, then i’ll go down to the beach for a surf, then i’ll go in my garage and clean my boat and get it ready for a dive, then i’ll have a nice day… oh wait, i forgot i have a wedding to go too. i almost forgot… gotta go. have a nice day….

on any surf trip, i always believe it’s best to have 2 photographers with you. why? just in case you miss the shot, the other guy will get it. here is a classic example. i went out for an early morning surf before the sun came out. i thought everybody was sleeping but when i opened my email last night and seen this, i guess kyle was up. he took this awesome lineup shot at our secret spot. i was out there surfing some of the most fun waves in my life. and when everybody else came out, i grabbed my camera and got some of the most amazing photos ever…. stay tuned….

and check out this photo mari sent me. it was late in the evening after surfing one of the best typhoon waves ever in japan. i pulled up to kamakura and seen one of the most amazing sunsets. i jumped on the wall and started shooting away….

good afternoon. wow, i’m sooooo happy to be back to hawaii! the weather is nice, the sky is blue, and my bed is feeling good. i took a nap and didn’t want to get up but there are too many things i have to do. it took me 3 hours to go through my hotmail email. now i have to go through my go-naminori account. i just want to say thank you to everybody who sent in comments. while i was gone, my birthday came and went. thanks for reminding me cause i forgot. so many things have been going on while i was gone so i’d better catch up on things. have a great evening….

i boarded my flight last night at 8:45 pm at kansai airport. i drank one glass of champagne. why? i don’t know. i don’t like drinking champagne at all but when the flight attendant brought me one, i couldn’t say no. i held it up and toasted to a wonderful trip! then the next thing you know, i woke up at 9:30 am at honolulu airport….

i want to thank kimura-san and atsuko-san for coming all the way to kansai airport last night. thanks for the sushi dinner, fun, and laughs… and thank you so much for the cooler full of yamari shirasu i brought back to hawaii. i’m sure everybody will be happy!!
and if you haven’t tried the best shirasu in the world before, drop me an email and i’ll give you some. i think i have one or two extra…. but you better hurry!!!

hey gerry, thanks for the sagana surf report from there in cloud 9. i’m glad you finally got some waves. tell hayato and the boys i said hello. hope you guys score!!!
