good morning. typhoon 14 is here in full swing. i hope i can get barreled somewhere today. tomorrow is the dove contest at yugawara so expect some big waves and lots of fun!!! have a sweet day…

mitsuteru kamio is one of the most hard core water photographers in the world. sometimes i pull up to 10′ closing out off the wall and see one guy shooting fisheye from the water, that’s kamio. and there are some days out at backdoor when it’s so big that i wouldn’t even think of swimming out there, but kamio is out there getting some sick photos of the japanese boys. if that’s not hard core, i don’t know what to call it. maybe crazy? what ever it is, kamio is a big part of keeping japanese surfing alive. with dwindling sales of magazines, kamio has stepped up and put out this awesome calendar. i can’t wait to order mine….
