hello from hawaii. wow, i’m soooo glad to be back home. it was a long 6 week trip but really fun. went from cold japan to hot indonesia to warm hawaii. as soon as i got off the plane, i was so happy to take my first step back on this beautiful island. it’s cloudy and raining today but i still love it. as for the waves? i don’t know and pretty much won’t care for a few days. i surfed my last wave in the mentawai’s and i want to keep that memory alive as long as possible. for today, i’m going to sleep, check emails, do computer work, and eat lau lau and poi.
then tomorrow, i’ll finally go get my tooth fixed. remember that toothache? i still have it and had it the whole time. i couldn’t get it fixed in japan and it was killing me every single day. but after a while, i started to get use to the pain. then when i went to japan yesterday and bit into my ice cream, it all came back…
i opened my iphoto and this was the last photo i took before i left on my trip. i didn’t realize how blue hawaii is…. awesome yeah? anyway, now is the fun part of uploading over 10,000 photos i took in japan, yoran, okinawa, shikoku, tokyo, shonan, wakayama, bali, mentawai, and malaysia. give me 2 days and i should be able to show you some pretty amazing people i met along the way. and also the awesome waves we surfed. stay tuned….

China Coming….
good morning from narita japan!! here i am sitting in my room half way to my home in hawaii. i open my email and start to go through most of them. being away from my computer for the past 2 weeks was great! but now, i’m so excited getting back to the real world. my mind is pretty fresh and i’m ready to do all kinds of things as far as surfing, diving, and go-naminori.com.
hanging out in malaysia the past few days opened up my eyes. for the past 2 years, i heard all the rumors of the chinese taking over the world economy. now after witnessing what i seen in malaysia, i seen it with my own eyes. i went to malaysia last year too and i could see the difference in just one year. buildings, shopping malls, hotels, and all kind of economic activity all over the place. it’s scary but i’m not going to run away or deny what’s happening. china is a world force and if we sit around just complaining, they will buy out our whole world day by day. so here’s what i plan to do. go back to hawaii and figure out a way to ride the chinese wave. first thing? learn chinese… nihau…
now getting back to our trip. i still can’t believe how good the waves were. i have a video clip of the good day at HT’s i got from a guy at the camp. i watched it over and over and realized how good we got the waves. i’ve seen a lot of videos of ht’s but nothing like the waves we got to surf. the good day only had our boat anchored in the channel. this small head high day had 4 boats. lucky? i think so….
anyway, going back to hawaii tonight. i can’t wait to get home! it’s been a long long time!!! have a nice day!
