Most Dangerous Job in Indonesia….

good morning. 6:30 am and the waves in town came up a little. 2′ at bowls and ala moana park. yeah!! see you out there!!!

tokura-san, naoka, and i stopped by the golf store yesterday. we grabbed clubs and tested it out. it felt pretty dam good killing a little white ball… check out tokura-san’s 200 yard drive…

i was impressed by naoka’s golf swing. i think it’s about time to hit the golf course….

there are 2 reasons why i quit golf….
first, when i first started the game, i told myself that the day i get a “hole in one” is the day i quit. i did it so i quit…
second, it cost too much money. imagine paying $1,399.99 for a set of irons? the add in $1,000 for drivers, $100 for shoes, $100 for gloves, balls and tees, and thousands for green fees? and $3.50 for each spam musubi and $15 for a 12 pack of beers each time? things keep on adding up and if you golf everyday like i use to, you can go bankrupt in months… i’m glad i quit because if i didn’t, i’d be homeless….

after all the emails i got telling me how stupid i was not to know who furuta-san was, i have one thing to say. “I’m Sorry.” i even told him personally last night that i was sorry for not recognizing him. yeah, i feel embarrassed. throughout the triathlon, all i was looking for was #27 on an arm because that’s what number he was. but from today on, i know who furuta-san is. i could pick him out in a lineup of a million people….

and last, i miss traveling already. i’ve only been back for 2 weeks but i miss exploring this world. eating weird things and seeing weird things is pretty cool. people ask me what i eat when go to countries like malaysia, philippines, indonesia, or africa. my answer is “i don’t know but it taste good.”
**last, wanted to thank nao-san for inviting me to dinner last night. i met some really cool triathletes and even a japanese comedian. stay tuned for photos…

hey everybody, this is a stun gun. this will shock the shit out of you. not kill you, but almost kill you. it’s illegal in 6 states in america, including hawaii. all the other 46 states is ok to have one. confusing? yup. just ask the japanese guy that got arrested for carrying one. you can order one right off the internet and have it shipped to your house world wide. how can this be legal? imagine dropping in on somebody and they stun gun you from behind? haha. that would be nuts… a couple of my friends have one, maybe i should borrow it….

hey everybody, this is my boat. since i got back to hawaii, i haven’t even opened my garage to see if it’s still in there. been too busy. maybe go down today and get it ready for some action. the diving conditions are not the greatest but i asked naoka last night “what do you want to do this time in hawaii?” he told me “diving!!”
