Sushi Time!!
good evening, or should i say good midnight? here i am sitting in my room overlooking the beautiful beach in shikoku at 12:15 am. everybody is sleeping and this is my only time to work. another long day? yup. we left bali at 1 am in the morning almost missing the flight because we were all sleeping. if the staff didn’t wake us up, we would still be in bali. close call…. then today, we almost missed our ferry to shikoku. we got there 1 minute before departure. had a long drive after that but we watched the movie “the hangover” while driving. thank goodness because that’s the only thing that kept me up. if it wasn’t for that funny movie, everybody would be sleeping, including me the driver.
shikoku is beautiful. the cherry blossoms are in full bloom so the mountains are pinky.. lovely….
yasan asked us what we wanted to eat tonight. i said “sashimi” and seth said “sushi.” so we went to morimoto’s at kaifu to have a wonderful dinner!!!
tony and seth got interviewed for the yamari shirasu website. stay tuned!!!
this is a photo from the fish auction in hawaii. but now that i’m in japan, the maguro here is much better….
before i left hawaii, i went shell hunting. nice yeah? wait till you see the shells i found in bali. awesome…..
anyway, tony and seth are snoring next to me and they look like they are having good dreams. it’s my turn to my computer is shutting down. going to surf early tomorrow morning with matchi and shun. see you in the water!!
Corbi?
good afternoon, i just got back to japan and the weather is perfect. not too cold, and not too warm. i’m feeling pretty dam good. we ate a wonderful breakfast at kimura-san’s house. just about to get on the ferry so i jumped into my porsche and guess what? the battery is dead!! shock!!! now i’ll be driving a big van to shikoku and when seth is surfing, i’ll probably be sleeping in the back. haha.. well, gotta go. see you there at the tssc users contest on sunday, and the surfing school on saturday. have a great evening!!!
my favorite food in bali has to be the suckling pig. the skin is so crunchy and the fat on it melts in your mouth. i wish we had this in hawaii….
when i first came to japan, people called me “kalbi, kabi, kalubie, kalulubi” now they call me “kaabi”. in bali, till this day, they still can’t get my name right. Corbi? haha..
so there i was swimming in the water in bali thinking about my life.
“here i am at a secret spot in bali that i had no idea existed. i’m swimming in the warm water while my 2 nephews and friends are getting barreled out of their minds. i shoot some photos, i swim around, i look around at the awesome view in totally peace. could anybody have a better life than this? could anybody be happier than i? i hope that answer is yes and if it’s not, let me just say that there is so much out there to experience. when i was a kid, my dream was to sit in an office and make a lot of money. now, it’s the total opposite!! i couldn’t work in an office, and i don’t need a lot of money. my life is perfect just as it is”
after i took this photo of myself, a big set came in and seth took off, pulled in with a big smile on his face, and i got the shot. then as he paddled back out, i floated on my back again and even had a bigger smile on my face….
