good midnight! we’re finally here in malaysia in transit to padang tomorrow morning. it’s been a long time i could wear a tshirt without freezing my ass off and it feels pretty dam good. tomorrow, we’re on the boat and i can’t wait. better get to sleep so i’m full power tomorrow. have a great evening…

all of our flights were delayed because of the snow this morning in tokyo. i was driving to the airport when it started snowing and i felt like i was in winter wonderland. it’s been over 40 years since it’s been this cold in april. i really think something strange is happening to our planet because too much weird things have been happening lately.
anyway, for the next 12 days, i’ll be in surf trunks all day and all night long. my black skin is going to get blacker and my teeth will look whiter and whiter. haha. i never have to go to those teeth whitening places and spend hundreds of dollars in whitening my teeth, i just have to go to the beach and get darker. then my teeth looks whiter. good yeah?

packing is really fun because you know the trip is getting near and your putting all your favorite toys in. all i need is my passport, surfboards, speargun, and i’m happy. i got my toybag weighing in at 24 kilos, my suitcase weighing in at 23 kilos, and my carry on weighing in at 14 kilos. now the fun part of going to the airport and hassling with the check in procedures….

can you believe i’m wearing a winter jacket in mid april? yesterday was freaking raining ice here in shonan. yes, hail. i can’t wait to get on the airplane and move on to some tropical weather. my body is still in shock from this trip to japan…

last year was a great diving trip to the mentawai islands. plenty of fish and plenty of sashimi. this fish was speared in the deep blue water…

yeah, the recent earthquake flattened padang. all the hotels, restaurants, and massage places we use to go to no longer exists. this is life and this is reality. tomorrow’s 1 hour car ride to the boat through the town is going to be an eye opener for everybody….
