so there i was last night sitting on my computer at 10:30 pm. i was tired and ready to go to sleep when i get a text message from my friend. they were out drinking in town celebrating Cinco de Mayo. Cinco de Mayo isn’t a mexican boys day, it’s spanish for “fifth of may”, a holiday that commemorates the mexican army’s unlikely victory over the french army at the battleof puebla in 1862.
anyway, it was either go sleep and wake up at 2, 3 and 5 am due to my extreme case of jetlag? or go out with the boys, have a few drinks, and sleep like a baby. i chose the second. i jumped in the truck and raced down. since it was a mexican holiday, i drank mexican beer: Corona[:?????????:]

after bar 1, we went to bar 2. the boys jumped into the truck and we were driving around town like how we use to do it in high school. pretty funny. i had to take a photo of this. haha…

there’s a cool new bar in waikiki. good food, good vibe, and good fun. 2 bottles of ichiko and we were done. i forgot the bars name but i’ll be back there again for sure. outside had this cool doggy. and outside also had a big fight between japanese girls. 3 girls yelling at each other in kansai ben, throwing shoes, security guards, and almost the police. i tried to stop the fight twice but couldn’t. so i stayed and watched. it was pretty entertaining. haha…

good morning. small waves in town today. trade winds. sunny skies. good for diamond head. contest on at bowls. going surfing. have a nice day!

after i took a nap yesterday afternoon, i woke up, got a haircut, put on my new sun glasses, and surfed diamond head. i was lighter, my surfing was better, and i felt pretty dam good. saiko!!!

we pulled up to hanaki yesterday because i was dreaming of “all you can eat” crab all day long. they have the best buffet there. but guess what? it’s finished!!! no crab anymore. the owner changed and now they have all you can eat shabu shabu. SHOCK!!! i think toda-san, takami-san, and eri-chan are going to be bummed…

so we drove down the street and ate all you can eat yakiniku. i feel like a pig…

check out this landslide. with all the natural disasters happening recently, you better go out and enjoy your life because someday, this world might blow up….

good evening. wow, what a long tiring day. i went to surf bowls early in the morning and there were a lot of competitors practicing for the Hawaii State Amateur Contest that will start tomorrow. it was packed so i paddled down to kaisers and had fun. when i stood up on my first wave, i felt like a beginner. i couldn’t do a turn and couldn’t stay balanced. my mind was there but my body didn’t want to move. i think i’m too dam tired. i’ll try again tomorrow morning. hopefully, i’ll have a better session…

before i left on my last trip, i sold my car. so the first thing i have to do is buy is a car. i went down to the auction today to look for one. they had over 450 cars that was auctioned this morning. you have to be a dealer to get inside and bid for cars. luckily my friend louiz is the man. i went down there this morning, ate free food and drinks and felt like home. haha…
see that black ford explorer in the back? i was eyeing that one out all day…

i can’t believe how fast those guys talk. i was confused at first but started to understand what was happening. i couldn’t believe how cheap some cars were selling for. what happens is all the car dealers in hawaii go to the auction every wednesday to buy cheap cars, then take it to their lots and sell it for a lot more. luckily, i have friends….

it was my turn to bid for the car i wanted. i ended up losing to a guy that outbid me $500. that sucked…

then another car caught my eye. it ended up costing too much money so i had to watch somebody else buy it. that sucked…
i was there for over 3 hours this morning. when i left, i had nothing and was really tired and down. now i know how it feels for a kid to go into a toy store and walk out with nothing. that sucked….
