Les Aventuriers by Shun Hirayama

**i have this folder on my desktop called “blog.” it’s where i put all the photos people send me in emails and stuff. it’s a folder where i go back from time to time looking at cool photos. an architect/surfer by the name of shun hirayama sent me some cool photos of one of his projects. it’s called “Les Aventuriers” that is located in kanagawa prefecture. i was blown away with the design… wow, i wish i could live in a house like this someday…

imagine having your office in your own house with the most amazing view? i’m sitting in front of my computer right now looking at a white wall in front of me. a white wall i’ve gotten to know quite well…

then when night comes, the house lights up. if this was my house, i’d have parties every night….

is this clean or what? i wouldn’t even want to walk on the floors. amazing..

a great idea for my future bathroom…

ok, i have one question. can i stay here on my next visit to japan? haha…
shun-san, thank you so much for the amazing photos. your a very creative architect and yes, i’d like to meet you someday. we can talk about my dream house. but first, give me some time to make some money. haha.. see you in the water!!!

Cool Photo…

Doko Daro???
Where is this???

Dolphin Dream Done….

good morning. 6:30 am on this sunny tuesday morning. glad to see the winds backing off. i went out for a drop yesterday into the blue water to look for ono’s. i wasn’t planning to but my lifeguard friend told me that there were a lot of big ono’s at this one ledge so i went to check it out. it was really windy. i’d say 30mph winds blowing my boat out to sea. it wasn’t too safe… i cut up a fish and waited. some big uku’s came by but every time i’d go 60′ to them, they would go deeper and deeper into the blue. it was 120′ out there and because i was by myself, i didn’t want to take that chance. a young 21 year old free diver kid just died out there 2 days before and that was on my mind all day. my lifeguard friend told me the whole story on how he drowned, where they found him, and how they pulled him out of the water. pretty sad… well, i didn’t see any ono’s but it’s ok because now i know where to go. i hope to get one soon…
as for the waves, waist high in town. going surfing!!! see you in the water….

yesterday was one an exciting day because i set out to get something i’ve always wanted to get….

a dolphin shot!!! i’ve swam with dolphins in the wild a lot of times but never had my good camera with me. and every time i took my good camera, i didn’t see any dolphins. yesterday was the day. can you believe i was swimming with them in the open ocean alone? i know where they are, thanks to a friends advice. so when i got home and downloaded the photos, i was pretty nervous because i was shooting pretty much blind. i was just aiming and hoping i get at least one great shot. well, i got more than just one. i got plenty!! this one is a throwaway…
now, one of my things i had to do in my life is done. if i get the chance again, it’s just a bonus… i know where the dolphins are every day but i’m not telling so please don’t ask me…
after the dolphin photo shoot, we went to spear some fish. it’s great to work, then play, then have a great dinner…

on the way home, a nice double rainbow formed right above my car. what an awesome day!!!
**oh, i’m falling behind in my email again. been getting so many that i can’t keep up. i’ll get back to sometime soon. as for everybody who sent the comments about the localism blog i posted a few weeks ago, thank you. i’m glad we share the same views on localism. yeah, localism is good and bad. it just depends which side your on. haha… keep the comments coming!!!
