good morning. 7 am on this cold tuesday morning. north shore 3-5′ and they’re running the finals of the pipeline masters. the waiting period is until the 20th of december but no good swells coming. and bad weather on the way too. so today is the day! since most of the good surfers lost, i’m predicting kelly slater to win the whole thing. as for town, small south/east swell. looking at bowls now. 2 surfers and one SUP out. waist high and super glassy. diamond head is probably really good now. anyway, i gotta get my day started. chau….

hey, forgot to show what i caught yesterday. one weeks worth of dinner. yeah!!!

last night yumie-chan invited me to a party at the nauuru towers. ayako came too so i walked in like a sugar daddy with 2 chicks. haha. joking… but even though i was spacing out from too much diving, i had a great time. beer, champagne, wine, and awesome food!!! i met some really cool people there….

the view was amazing!! all i need is a beer and i can sit on the balcony all night and look out at the honolulu city light….

when i was leaving, i seen this nice mercedes parked next to me. then i was thinking to myself…. “would i want to drive a car like this?” the answer is “no.” imaging loading my surfboards, spear guns, and stink fish in the back? i don’t think so… i love my own car…..

surf or dive? what do you think on a beautiful day like today? small waves with every professional surfer in the world here on the north shore? kidding me? unless it’s big and barreling, i’m not surfing and getting dropped in on, or called off waves. i’d rather be in a peaceful world…. the underwater world…. oh, check out this photo. i’m glad i had my good camera with me because days like this are rare. i got some awesome postcard photos!!! stoke!!!
as for diving. first, i seen a huge turtle, then we seen huge dolphins, then we seen a freakin huge whale jumping in the ocean. what an amazing day!! we took kyle’s boat 9 miles or about 15 kilometers out to the deep blue sea. spread some dead fish and waited for something to come around. the only thing i seen was a big shark that didn’t want to go away…. no luck so we came into the reef area and caught lots and lots of fish…

this is chris. chris owns a dive shop on the west side. and he’s a great diver….

this is travis. we went on a boat trip to timor together. travis is from the big island and who ever is from the big island is cool….

this is kyle from red sea ocean adventures and hawaii skin diver tv. kyle’s got some exciting trips coming up in 2010 and i hope i can tag along on all of them. surf/dive!!!
anyway, gotta get going. jumping in the shower and going to a party!!! i hope i don’t fall asleep on the sofa.. haha… i’m so tired and my brain isn’t working. it’s still in “peaceful” mode and i hope this feeling lasts forever…. surf safe! dive safe! and enjoy life!!!
