good evening. what a beautiful day in hawaii. super clear blue skies and expensive gas. yeah, i went to put some gas in my boat and freaked out!! not too long ag, one tank use to cost $9 to fill up but it costed me $24 today. and i had to fill two. i’m scared to ask how much my next ticket to japan is this summer. heard a rumor that it’s $1,300. no freakin way…. watched the news today and travel to hawaii in april was down something like 15%. i wonder why???

went for a dive on the east side today…. drove my boat over an hour using precious gas looking for clean water. no clean water to be found and things were looking pretty bad. wasted money on gas, ice, and food? no way man, not us. never say never….

how’s this? on the way in, we came across some clean water. we jumped in, filled up the big cooler, and headed back happy divers… never say never….

my good friend russ is jamming with his niece ciara at snappers tomorrow night. russ has been into music for as long as i’ve known him. he’s been practicing and has a gig at snappers. snappers is in the discovery bay at waikiki so be there or be square. 69, oh, i mean it’s from 6 to 9…. see ya there…. go russ….

good morning. 5:45am. small waves in town and small waves in the country. knee high everywhere. no wind so you know what that means… yup, go diving….
yesterday i went to the west side to pick up a new blue water gun. i went to the guys house and approached the gate. when i got there, i seen a long chain going behind me that went under the car. then i seen a couple big piles of dog shit. i started putting two plus two together and by the time i looked under the car, i seen this freakin vicious rotwailer pissed off at me for stepping in his territory. oh my gosh… i started to walk back slowly and the dog got up and as soon as i seen his tail straight up and his teeth, i walked back faster as he came for me. i haven’t been that scared for a long time but i knew if i panicked, i would have gotten attacked. and all i had in my hand was my cell phone. shit, i kept on waking back faster and faster and he started running to me. luckily, before he could jump up and bite me, he came to the end of his chain. shit!!! i asked the owner why she didn’t tell me there was a dog. she told me “ehh, this is waianae, what do you expect?” then the neighbor came out and said “bra, i thought you was crazy when i seen you walk up there. that dog nuts. bra, this is waianae, not hawaii kai.” shit, i’ll never step out of my car ever again in waianae. no freaking way….

if you don’t know what a rotwailer is, run if you see a dog like this….

there was this little rock that the kids were jumping off from. looked so fun. but i still was too traumatized to get out of my car… haha…

big news out of hawaii. bruce irons is quitting the ASP World Tour after this year. he says “I’m going back to being a free surfer”…. that’s super cool… for me, i’d rather see him on surf trips and on dvd’s free surfing, instead of chasing the tour and trying to hang on. imagine him and shane dorian going on surf trips? sick. can’t wait…

another dangerous job is construction. one mistake, your done. call the ambulance….

i was checking the kaiko’s cam the other day and seen the superferry zoom on by. did you know it goes 46mph? that’s freaking fast….

and last, i wrote a blog in the beginning of this month about a sticker i saw on a car. “i just want to get barreled” that day, i got an email from this kind person in japan that reads my blog. he said he will make a sticker for me. this past weekend, i got a fedex envelope in the mail with a bunch of “i just want to get barreled” stickers in different colors.
