North shore 3-5′ and coming up this afternoon.
Ala Moana shoulder high.
Diamond Head head high.
Light South/West winds so look for the clean spots.
Sunny and warm.
Going to the sea.

ハワイでは滅多にみられない光景だから、野生のサルを見つけたときは大興奮だった。台湾で、サーフポイントへ向かう途中、道路にサルが数匹いたんだ。車を停めて、カメラを取り出した。

彼らの右側にはバナナが一房あった。サルたちはすごく賢いから、それを知っていたようだ。僕らは、サルたちがどんなことをするか、なんとなく分かった。

案の定、大きめのサルがバナナをもぎ取って、食べ始めた。

ひとつ選んで、皮をむいて食べてるところを見れて嬉しかった。

こういう自然での出来事を見るのが大好きだよ。
