good chilly evening. gosh, is this hawaii or what? it was so dark and cold today. i felt like i was in the middle of winter in japan or something. it was freezing cold for me and there was no way i was going in the water today. not after freezing my ass off all day yesterday with a full suit on. i think this is the coldest winter ever recorded in hawaii. both air and water temperature…[:???:][:???:][:???:]

we were up at the ilikai hotel on the 44th floor. the view was freaking amazing. bowls was perfect… someday i hope to have a million dollar view like that everyday….

ala wai yacht harbor is for members only. and members we were today. it feels so good to be special. and the food was so dam good…

i ordered the 10oz. steak plate with potato salad and french fries. oh my gosh…. so good….

takahashi-san cracks me up. no matter where we are, we’re going to have fun… and i mean a lot of fun…. i’m getting ready for dinner now and i have a feeling that we are all going to wake up with headaches tomorrow morning. but it’s all good….
**i just got an email from don king. he sent me a video clip of myself getting barreled at backdoor like 10 years ago. don king is the best water videographer in the world and everybody knows that. so when i opened up the file, i was pretty dam excited. and after i watched it, i almost pissed in my pants. after all, nothing in surfing beats getting a stand up barrel at backdoor. nothing!!!! thanks so much don king!! you made me so happy!!! i’m going to hold my drink up high tonight… cheers….[:?????????:][:?????????:]

ohayo gozaimasu. 6:40am tuesday morning. chilli north winds now making the waves up in the north shore junky. it looks 4-5′ or so but not that good. the conditions in town are epic, but small. looking good for a dive. but i’m too dam tired from yesterdays all day dive… keep warm and have a nice day….

i was driving home yesterday from diving and was stuck in traffic. i was so hungry so when i seen this guy next to me eating a plate lunch when he was driving, i wanted to call the cops. that’s so dangerous. but at the same time, i wish i could have been eating a plate lunch too. i was so hungry…

kazubo-san keeps on telling me that hawaii is just like okinawa. i totally agree…. mensore=aloha….

kazuma, atsuko-san, kazubo-san, and shoki. we have fun in hawaii just like how we have fun in okinawa…. i’m so glad to know such nice people….

and last, i was sitting outside of imanas waiting for everybody. i looked down and seen this coin. it looked familiar… it was a 100 rupiah coin from indonesia. what the heck was an indonesian coin doing at a bench in front of a japanese restaurant in hawaii???? was garut here??? isn’t that kind of weird??? anyway, i kept it because it might bring me good luck… maybe a bintang will pop up in my refridge….
