good morning. 7:15am sunny monday morning. got tons of things to do so better get going. oh, north shore is flat. town has waist high waves with weird conditions. maybe get better when the winds kick in more. you know where the spot is today? waikiki… yes, waikiki was as beautiful as it gets yesterday. get out a longboard and enjoy. enjoy weaving between the hundreds of tourists and beginners out there. i seen some guys do it and it looked pretty fun. i even seen the canoe run over about 3 guys on every wave they caught. or better yet, get some binoculars out and watch the action. action in the water and action on the beach. waikiki is the bomb and now i know why everybody loves that place…. have a nice day….

gosh, how fast did a year fly by already? it seems like yesterday when i went to the 22nd TSSC users contest. i’ve been with TSSC for over 13 years and haven’t missed a contest yet. it’s just too much fun… surf with everybody, talk story, live entertainment, choke beer, and cherry blossoms. this years contest is happening on april 6th and i ain’t missing it. this years going to be cool. tony and seth moniz are coming with me for the contest. we’re going to fly into tokyo, jump in tokura-san’s car, and do a drive thru japan. surf, eat, have fun, and just enjoy the culture. i can’t wait!! of course we’re going to shoot and video it too. seth is going to be culture shocked… just like how was. except, seth is only 10 years old. i’m so happy because i can see his face when he sees things like colorful mountains, raw food, and some of his fans asking him to take a photo with him…. haha.. i hope he’s practicing his autograph…. it’s going to be fun….

good easter sunday evening. gosh, just another beautiful day out there. i didn’t realize how big of a holiday it was today. every beach i went to, i couldn’t find parking. and people were everywhere…. and i didn’t know that ala moana shopping center was closed. i bet a lot of tourists went there and were shocked…. i would be…. anyway, small swells on the way. got a lot going on this week so better get a good night sleep….. goodnight….

i love my car. can fit 5 people comfortable with 5 huge ass longboards on top….

i took this family from kamakura surfing for their first time. we went to waikiki and there were actually some pretty good size waves. none of them ever touched a surfboard before so i thought it was going to be a challenge. they all stood up on their first wave and i was so happy to see the smiles on their faces. a smile that only surfing can bring out…. this is hoshito and kazeto. their names mean star and wind in japanese. and they have a little brother who’s name is natsuto. which means summer. pretty cool names…. hoshito is the kid on the left. he caught so many waves and didn’t want to go in. pure stoke…. thanks for letting me experience your first surf session together. and thanks taka for helping me out… mahalo….

that’s why it’s good to get a small boat like this. if it gets stuck on the beach, just pick it up and put it back in the water. pretty simple….

good morning. 6:45am on this beautiful easter sunday morning. happy easter everyone…. i can’t wait to go outside and look for eggs…. as for the waves, small everywhere. north shore is flat. town is waist high and packed already. gosh, i counted 20 guys out at bowls and 18 or so at ala moana park. i guess everybody’s enjoying this beautiful holiday. i wish i got up and watched the sunrise. i did it once last year from the east side and it was the most awesome thing ever. check out this photo i took….

it was so yellow/orange that i couldn’t believe it. i didn’t realize how beautiful the hawaiian sunrises are. worth waking up early and checking out….

this is what i caught yesterday out at ala moana. i finally set up my blue water andre gun and tried it out yesterday. i took it down 35′ and seen this uhu kind of far away. i took the shot and hit it smack in the middle. i feel sorry for the ono’s when i go blue water hunting. now they won’t get away…. and that tako was hanging out in a hole right outside of kewalo’s. looked pretty small until i pulled him out of his house. a keeper. ready for the next barbecue….

speaking of barbecues, had another one at my house last night. gosh, i’ve been eating so much meat recently that i feel like a cow. muuu…….
