Surf First

Another beautiful morning in paradise.  Today’s plan was to scrub the  bottom of Mayuki.  It’s a hard and dirty job but I actually like doing it.  Keeping the boat clean while getting in the best exercise ever.

I dropped the anchor outside the waves today because it was very smooth.  Then I looked into Bowls and saw some sets!  Not too many surfers out.  The waves looked too good to pass up so I went surfing first, then scrubbed the bottom after.

Ray taking off on a set.  It was so good!

Hey girl, can I please have my surfboard back???

Ray, Lance, Troy, Barry, John, Matt, Gary, and some of the girls still surfing as I left.  Just going out to talk story with these guys is well wroth the time.  Thanks for sharing guys and girls.

A day at the Surf Jack Hotel.  Honouliwai and Keahi are very good swimmers!

And so are the rest of my Grand-nephews and Grand-nieces!  Saint, Mateus, and Acacia.  Uncle loves you all!

October Traditions

There are so many kids in our family and so many birthdays in October.  I think we have 10 or more October birthdays and this was just one of them.  Keahi turned 4 years old on October 1st.

As long as the kids are happy, we are happy.  Chucky Cheeses has been a birthday tradition for over 30 years in our family.

The kids can’t wait for the next one!  Me too.

Getting photos off my desktop.  This one was just another normal day with surf and a rainbow.  Only in Hawaii.

I try my best to take off from behind and yell “GO!” so I can get the photo.  But if they miss, I will gladly surf the wave, paddle back out, and say thank you.  Haha.

My new boards are working good.  I can step way back on the tail and it wants to go faster and faster.

Rockpiles from behind.

Tako are so smart.  They will shoot ink in your face and run away.

And sometimes they will succeed.  No tako poke this day.
