Sailboat vs. Mother Nature

Yesterday, there was a sailboat sailing too close to Rockpiles.  An accident waiting to happen.  On a normal day, that course is ok because the wind will blow it offshore.  But not with the South/West winds yesterday.

The onshore wind and big waves pushed it further into the lineup.  It was just a matter of time.

Then the first wave hits it.  Such a bad place to be.

Then wave after wave pushed it right over the reef.  Damaging coral, leaking gas, and putting the passengers in a high risk situation.

Too many accidents like this happen because of negligence.  The reef always loses.

We went to check it this morning and yes, it was still there.

I wonder how they plan to get it off the reef without damaging it even more?

The water was still dirty and the sailboat didn’t make it any better.  Today was the 5th day in a row the locals took a break.  We drove 40 minutes to the East side and scored again!

Round 2:  Blue sky, clean water, good waves, and nobody out.

Mighty Mouse is the happiest surfer in the world.  She absolutely loves this place!  All the waves to yourself is a surfers dream.

Yesterday once more:  Always searching for the perfect sunrise…

Good morning 4am.
North shore 4-6′ from the North.
Ala Moana knee high.
Diamond Head waist high.
North winds at 15mph.
Sunny and cool day.
Going to the sea.
Have a wonderful day!

Bye Bye iMac

We went to Diamond Head this morning to observe the ocean.  The day before, the big tree that all the locals gather under fell down with the high wind.  Lucky no locals were there at the time.  Anyway, Diamond Head was small so we headed to the East side again.

Clean waves, golden sunrise, and a fun surf session.

I love this place because I use to hang here everyday when I was a teenager.  Lots of good memories.  Bad ones too.

Round 2:  Secret spot.  Sorry not too many surfing photos recently because we’ve been surfing secret spots everyday.  Getting super lucky too!

Came home and Spiderman attacked me!

If you want to get rid of a iMac, open it up, take out the hard drive, destroy it, and pour water on the rest.  That should work.
