Blue Water Power Spot

After practicing rock climbing every morning at Bowls, we went to go test out the progress yesterday.  This place is super wild.  The rocks are slippery and the waves are big.  You have to walk properly while timing the sets that crash on the rocks.  I’ve seen so many people fail here over the years.  Big cuts, broken bones, and shattered egos.  This is a place you don’t have time to doubt yourself.  You just have to trust yourself and JUMP!

OMG, another mistimed jump.  Luckily there wasn’t a wave behind to push her back into the rocks.  That would have been ugly.  Looking a lot better than last time but still work in progress.

It was time for the next one.  The first time for this girl as she was very uncomfortable in a very uncomfortable place.  Doing this will only make you stronger.

It was rough but we managed to get a few really good waves.  And everyone was happy that the sun was shining again.

Life in a bikini.  Can’t beat it.

When I say paddle, you better paddle hard like this.  You will be rewarded!

The water is really clear out here.  It’s one place on the island that never gets dirty.  This is my power spot and now the girls understand why.

The golden sunrises are back!

Good morning 4:30am.
North shore 2-4′ and good.
Ala Moana waist high and good.
Diamond Head chest high and good.
Light winds so clean morning conditions.
Rain, clouds, and sun.
Going to the sea.
Have a wonderful day!

No Internet

Waves this morning were good again.  Not too many sets, but when one came, it was perfect.  Boot Camp is turning this girl into a good surfer, a good rock climber, and a good bottom turner.

Malcom again on the best wave of the day laughing all the way.  I just love it!

Dana caught some really good rights.  Then I see him after in the parking lot picking up rubbish.  That’s what you call a “good man!”

Back in the day at my Mom’s house.  A family gathering with everybody smiling.  Those were the days the iphone wasn’t invented yet, and neither was the internet.  I miss that…
