Moniz Camp

I’m super proud of Micah for being the coach for the kids little league baseball team.  Father teaching his son Keahi how to hit the ball.  A priceless moment.

Honouliwai is the funniest kid to watch playing baseball.  Did you see the movie “Bad News Bears?”  If they make a sequel, this kid would be the star actor.  And he doesn’t even have to act because it’s all natural.  Haha.

So cool to see the kids smiling and enjoying a team sport.  My brothers and I all played little league baseball, so did the nephews, and now the grand-nephews.  It’s a family tradition.

This kid is going to be “GREAT!” at what ever he chooses to do in life.

Sportsmanship is the most important thing to learn for these kids.  And it all starts here.  The funniest thing about this whole baseball thing is our family is the biggest family that shows up to the games.  We’re making the loudest noise, we’re all trying to coach the kids, and we’re having a great time doing it.

November 11, 20274 Hawaii Surf Report

Yesterday once more:  Morning with the Uncles at Bowls.

Good morning 3:45am.
North shore coming up to 6-8′ today.
Ala Moana waist high and good.
Diamond Head chest high and bumpy.
Trade winds at 25mph.
Sun, showers, and rainbows.
Going to the sea.
Have a wonderful day!

Three Round Sunday!

Round 1:  Wow, what a Sunday!  Three marvelous rounds of Boot Camp.  First was with Takei-san.  This guy rips!

Always good to see everybody progressing.  And always good to see excellent rides.

Yui-san caught some good waves too.  Riding the magic board making it super fun.

Smiling and riding.  Surfing is the best!

Round 2:  Straight back out with Hashimoto-san.  We paddled over to Rockpiles because there was only 1 surfer out.  The waves turned out to be really good.

Building the muscle memory each day and each day looking better and better.

Round 3:  Hashimoto-san wanted to surf into the sunset so that’s just what we did.  Nice reflections coming off the hotels, clean ocean surface, and smooth bottom turn.

Just compared to a few days ago, this is a brand new surfer!

From sunrise to sunset.  Surf all day!  Lots of good rides, happy faces, and lots of progression.  Now I need to put aloe gel on my sunburnt face.  Goodnight.
