good evening. another wet wet yucky day. it’s still raining, it’s dark outside, the roads are flooded, no swells on the way, and the ocean is polluted so i can’t surf or dive. i think i’m going to go crazy!!! help….

i spun around diamond for a run but i seen a huge storm approaching so i cancelled. i’ve never seen it dark like this in a while. it’s like night time all day. know what i’m talking about? my lights in my house were on all day long…

even my secret outdoor salt water pool wasn’t looking too nice today. it was freaking cold….

i bet every shaper in the world was in their shaping room today trying to shape kelly’s new design after watching him easily win the pipe masters. he says it’s a 5’11 round pin. the widest part of the board is 4″ in front of the center of the board. check out how wide the nose is. only kelly slater is the kind of superman surfer that can make a huge impact on our surfing economy. i bet over 10,000 surfboards will be shaped because of what he did yesterday at the pipe masters. can one of our shapers please make me one? i want to surf like kelly slater too…

this was yesterday at haleiwa harbor. now you know why i won’t go near the ocean for a while. this stuff isn’t going away anytime soon. yuck… thanks surfline.com for letting me borrow these photos….

good morning. another wet dark cloudy hawaiian day. wave on the north shore looking pretty good but you have to be crazy to go into the water. but if your japanese, you’d probably surf because it kind of looks like shonan. actually a little cleaner. for me, no way. town is totally out of control due to the south winds. i bet diamond head is probably fun again today and the water isn’t too bad out there. anyway, this is like the 5th or 6th day of rain? when is it going to stop?? drive safe and have a fun day what ever you decide to do….

when i was running diamond head yesterday, i was amazed on all the elder japanese men and women practicing for the marathon tomorrow. 26 miles or 42 kilos? oh my gosh… i give everybody that crosses that finish line a lot of credit. i’m thinking of running it next year. sounds crazy but crazy i am….
