HSL Moonset Layday

No, this is not the sunset, this is the moonset.  We got to the beach in the dark but the moonlight was shining so bright.  I had to take a photo of this.

Seira-chan in perfect form.  She rode 7 of my boards on this trip and is in tune with each one.

2 days in a row we had Rockpiles all to ourselves.  It was by far the best spot in town.  The girls pushing each other to their limits.

I just sat in the channel and judged all the action.  Even though you’re surfing so good, there’s always room for improvements.  That’s why the best surfers in the world all have coaches.

Riding a 5’9 high performance professional surfers surfboard and turning it like this takes skill.  Pretty impressive.

Since Seira-chan came 6 days ago, I can see a lot of improvements.

If I had one word for her surfing, it would be “beautiful.”

First Surf Blue Hawaii

Fujie-san just arrived in Hawaii for his first time.  He got off the airplane and went straight to the beach.  He was so amazed on the blue sky.

Imagine surfing in Chiba all your life and then coming to surf this for the first time.  Blue sky, warm water, crystal clear, and riding waves while watching turtles swim right under you.

If you had a longboard, the waves were super good!

Fujie-san kept on looking at the scenery and kept on saying “this is beautiful.”  I thought his surfing was pretty beautiful!

Seira-chan has a really good longboard style.  She’s very graceful and surfs like a woman.  It’s very cool just to watch how she’s dancing on the wave.

Hawaii doesn’t get any more beautiful than this.  One of the most gorgeous days of the year!  Hope you enjoyed your first surf in Hawaii!
