good morning. woke up early, checked the waves, and went back to sleep. where’s the south swell? not here yet. waves look super small around the island. smallest it’s been for a long time. might have to take out the twin fin and have some fun somewhere. the best spot today? i’d say lighthouse or kewalos…. have a fun and safe day….

it’s pretty amazing what you can find in the ocean. that’s the cool thing about diving. you can see fish, sharks, dolphins, manta rays, monk seals, whales, and if you look really good, some awesome shells. these are keepers….

i’ve been playing around and posting videos on youtube for this past 6 months or so. youtube is pretty good but the only bummer thing is that when you upload your video, you lose a lot of video quality. in fact, lose a lot. so now we have a movie section on GO-NAMINORI where most of the videos will be posted eventually. and the quality is much much better. i’m also digging deep into my archives so when i have some time, i’ll post some classic videos of traveling around the world… if you have time, check it out BY CLICKING HERE…..

good evening. what a mellow day. sat down and checked my calendar for this year. got some big travel plans and great surfing/diving trips coming up. i went to pick up my japan ticket today and oh my gosh!!! i paid $1250. and get this, my travel agent told me it’s going up another $110 next week. so if your planning to travel to japan this summer, buy your ticket before next week or else…. gosh, i remember paying $780 just a few years ago. what’s going on?? gas is so expensive that our whole world economy is hurting. everything is dependent on oil and if oil prices go up, so does everything else. that sucks… lot’s of traveling coming up for me so i hope the gas prices go down or i’ll be eating coconuts everyday for breakfast, lunch, and dinner… wait, i forgot. fish too. fresh fish….

i was craving for mexican food today so i headed to taco bell. check out this big meal. after i ate it, i needed a nap….

good morning. slept like a baby last night. yesterday’s dive took all my energy both physically and mentally. i couldn’t stop thinking about that shark that brushed by me. i couldn’t stop thinking “what if”…. and when i thought about everything that happened yesterday, it was our fault why that shark came by. why? because it’s bad luck to talk about sharks before diving. and that’s what we were doing. mike, ryo, and i were talking about sharks on my boat and that’s a no no. it’s a jinx. i always hate talking about sharks before diving because when we do, we almost guarantee see one. so next time we go diving, no shark talk ok? save it for after…. oh, the waves? small. knee/waist high at bowls with 10 guys out. 12 or so at the park. cloudy skies, strong trade winds, but still dam beautiful here in hawaii. have a safe day and enjoy….

gosh, how time flies. it was almost a year now when tokura-san took this photo of hayato, nakajima-san, and i. this was right after an awesome typhoon swell session somewhere in japan. it seems like it was yesterday….

i miss fresh assorted sashimi. i miss japan….
