if you want to find parking at the beach for the next 2 days, good luck. they are filming Hawaii Five-O so just letting you know.
today was Asayama-san’s last day in hawaii. we surfed early this morning and next thing you know, it was lunch time. time sure flies when you’re having a great time!
i’m guessing Asayama-san caught over 200 waves on this trip alone. and not just average waves, but very good and very long waves.
after we passed 2 hours, i knew Asayama-san would get tired. why? because i was tired too. haha. so we went in very satisfied. had a great lunch with our surfer friends, Aoi-kun, Chifumi-san, and Chizu-san. we were all very happy after one of the best morning sessions in a while.
our last stop was a $1 soft cream from mcdonalds. the only reason why i’ll ever go there. haha.
the sunset was another amazing one.
the last sunset for Asayama-san. thank you very much for the wonderful time and awesome memories. this past 2 weeks went by way to fast. great times and i’ll be waiting for your return. please surf hard in japan and tell all the Wedge Surf crew in ibaraki i said hello!
fresh hawaiian combo meal from Highway Inn!
the pipikaula is the best on the island. hawaiian smoked meat time!
i’m surely going to miss this kind and wonderful man. after 2 weeks spending everyday together, we formed a very good relationship both in and out of the water. it was a sad goodbye, but the happy part is i know i’ll see Asayama-san again very soon. have a safe flight back to japan and hope you keep our golden memories in your heart forever!

Hawaii Five-O and Poi
Sunset Romance and Daily Natural Exercising
yesterday afternoon was freaking gorgeous! clean air, cool wind, and perfect blue sky.
day 12 of surfing for Asayama-san. the waves were tricky, but not too tricky for a good surfer.
Asayama-san kept on catching wave after wave. after 2 hours and him catching about 15 waves, i asked him “aren’t you tired yet?” he said “no, i want 5 more.” haha.
and he kept on going and going. i was riding on the side laughing. so funny watching this young man feel the great vibe.
seen the 2 surfer girls out. reminded me of the days i use to go surfing with my friends. the good old precious days.
then i took Asayama-san to the park to watch the sunset. earlier in the day, i packed up my cooler with some treats.
2 beers, water, fresh sashimi, a knife, wasabi, and shoyu. just perfect enough for the 2 of us to have an amazing time enjoying life.
this was the same fish that was swimming under us the day before. now we can enjoy what the lovely ocean has provided us. Asayama-san was stoked to get to try some fresh hawaiian seafood!
yes, i can be romantic at times. no, i’m not gay. i just want everybody to experience my lifestyle. and if you can take this and apply it to others, i’m a very happy man. this is my life, and nobody can ever change it.
and yes, the sunset was amazing! i just love this angle!
12 days of surfing, 7 days of yoga, 4 days of free diving, 1 day of SUP’ing, lots of healthy food, and lots of a hawaiian active lifestyle. Asayama-san’s been living the dream lifestyle for the past 2 weeks and you can see the results in his body. much more stronger, much more muscles, and much bigger smile. he’s going back to japan a very energetic young man! it’s amazing how the ocean can shape ones body. very natural and very healthy. i still can’t believe he’s only 67 years young!
