Boys Marathon Session

woke up early to meet the boys down for our dream foil session. Tony, Micah, Buddy, and Kenny. all great watermen.

check out this photo i took of Carter yesterday. we were dodging this canoe all afternoon.

today the waves were big so the boys were excited. Micah told me he couldn’t sleep last night. haha. today was the biggest day for all us foilers and we were super excited to get into the water. that was 8am, then i seen Buddy at Bowls at 3:30pm and he told me they just got in. sunburnt skin and bloodshot eyes. what??

i put my foil away and went to pick up Asayama-san. fresh off the airplane from Japan and straight into the ocean.

we went to my super secret spot. nobody out, perfect waves, and amazing rides. sorry no photos from secret spots.

surfed all afternoon with the brightest rainbow watching us surf. it was amazing! welcome back to Hawaii Asayama-san. Boot Camp officially began…

it felt so good to be in the ocean again. this is the ultimate feeling of feeling FREEDOM!!! and we love it!

Two-Way Pedestrian Traffic

i was amazed on how blue the sky was the day i left Japan. it was even bluer than Hawaii?

i was amazed how all the ramen i ate in Japan looked like faces? but tasted good.

i was amazed on how many people commute every single day in Tokyo. how can’t you get lost?

one rush hour morning, i was walking through Shinagawa station. i was walking through this the opposite way and saw thousands of people coming straight for me. i was thinking to myself “there should be traffic lanes so people can all flow in one direction?”

then i looked to the left and saw the lane i was supposed to be walking in. omg, all these years i’ve been walking up the wrong lane dodging people all morning long. why didn’t anyone tell me???

i was at Nagoya airport watching 4-5 year old kids preform a singalong dance on stage. right after it was done, the next entertainment was this erotic belly dancer. so the kids are still around and after singing and dancing to ABC’s, they witnessed some hard core loud music with a lady half naked shaking her butt all over the place. i was kind of in awe… what are the kids supposed to think?

anyway, back to Hawaii. went foiling with Carter yesterday. waves were so perfect for the foil!

shaper Makani has been on the foil too enjoying a different aspect of surfing. so good to see him out there practicing.

i took a few rides on Carter’s new board. felt super good so i just ordered one last night. now i’ll have 4 foil boards. haha…
