i’m pretty happy to be back to surfing recently.  i reconnected with my shortboard and a lot of my local friends.  with my foil, i’m an outsider.  with my surfboard, i’m an insider.  haha.  it’s been locals only time at Bowls.Kupe with the morning light…it’s been crowded but everybody has been really nice.  super respectful because we’re all in this coronavirus together.  so happy to be surfing again.  i got a really good barrel this morning on the right.  i felt like i was at Big Rights!  so happy!this lady isn’t too happy.  standing on the corner in the rain holding a sign?  Government Tyranny?  what is she trying to say?  maybe this lady should go live in another country and find out what Government Tyranny really is…i found a secret factory today deep in the industrial area.  had a good talk with the owner and now i’m on my quest to getting my dream Japanese car shipped to Hawaii!

hello to my friends in Japan.  i have a new dream so please help it come true.  i’ve been seeing more and more Japanese cars on the streets lately.  i researched how to get one and there are a couple companies in America that buy cars from Japan and import it.  they have a website where you can just buy one and they will send it to you double the price.  after looking around, i thought why not find one myself?  opps, i mean why not have my friends be on the lookout for one?  yeah, then when we find the perfect one, i will buy it, import it to Hawaii, then we can all enjoy it here together!  so my choices have come down to 2 cars…

one of my choices is this Mitsubishi Delica Exceed.  i want one that was made before 1994.  it looks big but it’s actually really small.  i can fit my boards in and on top so this will be my surf mobile.  i want a white one and it doesn’t’ have to have big rims and tires because i can custom that here in Hawaii.

another choice is this Suzuki Jimny or also called a Samurai.  once again, something made before 1994.  Tokura-san bought one and sent it to Niijima Island back in the 1990’s.  he would let me use it so we’d drive this on the long sandy beach.  it was super fun and we had so many great memories in it.  i want a white one and once again, i can customize it here in Hawaii.  low mileage, clean, and most importantly, i want right hand drive.

so yeah, i spend 6 hours on my computer researching how to get one.  and when i usually spend that much time searching for something i want, i usually get.  so please keep your eyes and ears open for me.  i’d appreciate it very much and if you help me find one, i’ll let you drive it in Hawaii!
