one of the Molokai Boys came by the house and gave us a full cooler of deer. in fact, he gave us the whole deer he hunted that morning. i brought back some and cured it in my refrigerator. last night, i couldn’t wait and cut up some sashimi.
omg, it was amazing! it tastes like maguro!!! now i have a months worth of meat in my refrigerator and i’m excited to prepare it in different ways.
then after the sashimi, i went down my street to eat the best nabe in the world. amazing as always…
woke up this morning and since there were no winds, i went straight to Diamond Head.
got out my foil and flew like a big bird! it was perfect!
last time we went to Molokai, Kelia got hooked on diving. so this time, our main focus was diving. i was following her around laughing my head off. she’s so funny!
this is her second time hunting for fish. so i was filming her going up and down and up and down. she didn’t catch anything but she was trying super hard. and also getting frustrated. haha…
i teach all the kids that there is no rush to kill something. if it happens, it happens. if it doesn’t, it was never meant to be. someday Kelia will get a fish, cook it, and eat it. but for now, keep practicing girl…
as for me, all i was looking for this day was sashimi for Joe’s birthday party dinner. after i got this, Seth saw a much bigger one come by. we tried to get it but it outsmarted us. so yes, this fish can be smarter than us humans and we must appreciate that…
Seth texted me earlier today “nice conditions tomorrow, might go dive.” so i texted him back “ok, let’s go!” got the buoys ready and we’re going hunting for big fish tomorrow. hope Seth finally gets his big dream fish. stay tuned…
