i was laughing and tearing at the same time. laughing because i know how it feels to complete a ride like this. and tearing because i know how foiling can open up a surfers life. it will make you stronger, and also make you very humble. and it’s very good to feel strong and humbled at the same time. i can’t even explain how foiling changed my life and most of my foil buddies agree. as soon as the lockdown is lifted, i’m going to Japan! i can’t wait to foil with you Azumi-san! We Are One!
i’m really lucky because during this lockdown, there are no boats in the ocean. so i can take out Mayuki on any day and find a surf or foil spot all to ourselves. just anchor her in the back, jump off into a wave, and have the whole ocean to yourself. it’s days like this that make you love your life even more…
