after 3 days of hard work, things are finally looking good. just 2 more days and i can’t wait to put her back in the ocean! Mayuki will be fresh!!!last time i hired a guy to do my bottom paint, i found out he just hid this crack by covering it with thick paint. i remember clearly telling him to fix this crack i noticed and i paid a lot of money for it. so after i scraped off the old paint, i found out he didn’t bother to fix it. so this time, i did it myself and put a lot of love into it. now it’s even stronger than ever! sometimes you just have to do things yourself if you want the job done right. it’s even hard to find a trustworthy mechanic here in Hawaii. thank goodness my brother does all the mechanical work on Mayuki. she’s in very safe hands…the bottom paint is finished. the motors are serviced. now a little more fiberglass work and this boat will be better than brand new. next trip is Molokai, or maybe i’ll try to drive her to Japan! haha…
