it was a treat driving through Ala Moana Beach park and seeing the VW car show. every single vintage VW on the island was there.
i saw some of my high school friends hanging out. this Buggy is my friends Alden Silva. it’s so beautiful!

these are the Vintage Volkswagen boys of Hawaii. good to see you guys still loving what we all loved 40 years ago! boys will always be boys!
i took out my student to Big Rights not expecting anything. we ended up scoring waves like this with only 3 guys out. it’s usually a big barrel on the big days and super high performance rights on the smaller days. i did 6 turns on my first wave and it felt amazing!
when you live life with no expectations, life only gets better. i’m not kidding…
the water was super clean too. clean warm water with perfect waves? omg, that’s a dream!
