as the airplane approached Japan, i was mesmerized by the view. i could see the whole coast of Shonan, Enoshima Island, and Mt. Fuji! i chose to sit on the left side of the airplane for this very reason. and it’s not to often it’s this clear! i felt like i could see my friends houses all over Japan from the airplane!
i’m thinking of my Grandparents. so happy they got to climb Mt. Fuji, but so sad that they’re not here anymore.
i left Hawaii on Oct. 10th and Japan opened on Oct. 11th. factor in the time difference and i made it right on time! i haven’t been this excited to come to Japan since the first time i came here 32 years ago.
now the fun part of getting around. the train system is the fastest. zero traffic.
i didn’t realize how hard it was to carry a board bag around with you everywhere you go. and mine is very heavy because have my foil in there.
i went to take a 45 minute walk around before going to sleep. i feel like a tourist again. everything seems new. and everything is so cheap because of the strong dollar. nows the time to travel everyone!
