good morning. 6:45am tuesday morning. what a long fun weekend. everybody has to go back to work so the surf should be mellow. not too crowded and fun. i just seen some chest high sets at bowls and there are only 8 surfers out. it’s going to be another perfect day here in hawaii. i heard that not too many japanese are coming this summer to hawaii because of the swine flu. i think the media blew it out of proportion. it’s like saying not to go to japan because of typhoons and earthquakes. it’s like saying not to go to indonesia because of terrorists. it’s like saying not to surf because of box jellyfish. hey, life is all about taking risks. i think you have a better chance of dying in an earth quake, or by a tsunami, or by a dog bite, then dying from the swine flu. if you come to hawaii, life is normal. actually, i think japan has more swine flu cases than hawaii. it’s not half as bad as the news is reporting it. anyway, life goes on and i’m glad i don’t let the news dictate my life anymore. if i did, i wouldn’t have left hawaii and traveled to all the places i have. if you don’t take risks, you won’t get rewarded…. anyway, i’m going surfing because i see a lot of unridden waves…. have a good one…
hey, the new TSSC catalog came out last month and it looks pretty killer. super professional and super good quality, just like the surfboards. if you haven’t gotten one yet, let me know and i’ll send one to you. i’m thinking of getting my next board designed like this one. but except the strawberries, i’m going to put on fish. what do you think?
glenn minami made me a magic 5’10 board that i’ve been riding every day here in hawaii. it’s called a bullet and feels like one. it’s fast and easy to turn. before left to japan a few days ago, we were on the phone talking about his new F-4 Falcon design. it’s kind of the same concept as my bullet but little shorter and wider. and i can have the choice to go 3 fin or 4 fin. i can’t wait to get it. glenn will be in japan for 7 more days so don’t miss your chance. thanks glenn….
