i went to las vegas the for the first time about 15 years ago and won $50. the second time i went was about 8 years ago and i won about $125. i hate to gamble, but since i’m there anyway, i just try a few slot machines and black jack tables. why? because the beer is free. haha. so instead of spending money on beer, i gamble my beer budget away and stop when i’m feeling good. this time, i’m going to gamble a little more because i want to win a million dollars! and once i hit one million, i’m stopping.
going to las vegas is like going into another world. they don’t call it “Sin City” for nothing. all kinds of weird things happen there and that’s why they have the marketing phrase “What ever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” people get stupid and marry somebody they just met, some people steal, some people gamble and lose their houses. in a second, you can win a million dollars, but at the same time, you could lose your whole life savings. it’s not a city for everybody. i’m not a gambler so if i lose $100, i’m bummed. but the experience to go there and enjoy the entertainment is something special.
this is the main reason i’m going. it was my childhood dream to watch a multi-million dollar boxing match ringside in las vegas. as a kid, i use to watch muhammad ali, sugar ray leonard, and other great champions fight on tv. it was exciting, but nothing beats being right there. people only dream of getting a ticket and it won’t sink in until i’m sitting ringside with my bag of popcorn and glass of jack-san. will i be yelling? heck yeah!
i seen a couple of shows while i was there last time. O is a crazy acrobat show that will blow your mind. i’m ready to get my mind blown again.
KA is another great show that i always wanted to see.
anyway, gotta get to the airport. jumping on a jet, landing in vegas this evening, eating a king crab buffet, and going to a show. then gambling my life away! haha. i’ll sneak my camera into the shows so check back for photos. have a wonderful day!
