good sunday morning. been windy here in hawaii but at least the winds are cool. waves have been fun but took a few days off from the ocean. just catching up on things at home and on my computer. can’t wait to get in the water today. still been hearing the buzz about this summer being the worst in history for hawaii south swells. my friend asked me what i thought and i said “hey, it could be worst.” i can’t complain when we have waves to surf ever single day of the year in hawaii. yeah, it might be small, but hey, if you have good small wave boards like me, you wouldn’t mind at all. have one more day off then back to working everyday, all day. i’m reset, refreshed, and ready to go! see you in the water.
i met Ayaka Suzuki a few years ago in Bali. i think she was only 14 years old back then. i was impressed on her charging big waves and her level of bodyboarding. she is one of the youngest pro bodyboarders on tour and has the vision to becoming japan’s champion. a great personality and super supportive parents backing her up, Ayaka has a bright future. i had fun on the boat getting to know this girl. i like her positive attitude and her focus on taking bodyboarding to the next level. a great example on how to focus, travel the world, and enjoy life as a kid. this is Ayaka Suzuki.
