Makiki Matsuri in Hawaii….

184

good evening. i surfed bowls this morning and it was pretty fun. head high and offshore. it’s cool to have a south swell in october. i feel like where ever i go, there’s waves. lucky surfer i guess. i was wishing that the waves would be flat when i came back so i could relax. but who can relax when the waves are good? not me…. going surfing again tomorrow….

my mom told me about a matsuri at her church today so i went there to check it out….

as soon as i parked my car, i could smell the ikayaki. i ended up buying 2 of them. it was so soft and good!!!

gosh, i felt like i was in japan. they were pounding mochi and it looked so good…

this was the cool part. an open flee market with deals galore….

10/$1.00? are you kidding? 10 pieces for $1 is a deal….

what is Ki-Ku-Zo? is this some kind of japanese game? robot? well, this was selling for .25 cents. yup, around 20 yen. if i knew what it was, i would have bought it. anyway, somebody scored….
