good morning. 6:15 am and the waves are looking fine out on the north shore. i actually seen some a frame 6′ sets out at backdoor/pipe. i wish i was out there now because the west winds are on the way. expect junk winds soon to make the waves onshore on the north/west/south shores. i’m going to pick up japan’s number 1 grom shun murakami now from the airport. he will be staying in hawaii for a month with the rest of the DOVE/TSSC team. can’t wait to see him get better and better. well, gotta get going. have a nice day!!!
my tooth chipped today so i went to carter’s brother, DR. LEE. i’m not saying this because i’ve known dr. lee for 30 years, but he’s the best dentist in hawaii. he actually fixed problems that other dentists in hawaii screwed up. i use to get food stuck between my teeth all the time for 10 years. i thought that was normal. well, i was wrong. after going to dr. lee, he fixed it and nothing gets stuck between my teeth anymore. well, sometime nori does. haha. anyway, my tooth chipped off so i have to go back 2x more to get a crown. big bucks… ouch!!!

thanks to todays technology, the ISA WORLD JUNIOR SURFING CHAMPIONSHIPS that will be held in new zealand will have live coverage via the internet. yup, from january 20-28th, you can see every heat and cheer on your favorite country. i’m cheering for hawaii because family is involved!!! then i’ll be cheering for japan. wish you all the best of luck!!!
that’s my nephew isaiah moniz on the left. i’m super proud of his accomplishment. i went to see them at the press event last night at the hard rock cafe. if coaches rainos hayes and kahea hart can keep the team together and in order, hawaii has a good chance of bringing the championship back home. the talent level is high!!! they leave thursday for new zealand and i hope they represent hawaii well… go isaiah!!
