good evening. north winds all day making shitty conditions on the north shore. so instead of surfing junk waves, we went training. diving training. and like usual, i feel great!!! and i bet hayato, satoshi, and kenji feel great too. tonight everybody will get a good sleep. that’s for sure…[]
i’ve been tuning up my guns. got all new shafts and new bands so it’s ready for a year of traveling. these are my 2 picasso basik stock guns. these boys caught me a lot of fish already. and not that everything is new, it’s going to catch me a lot more.
when ever i tune up my guns, i want to go as soon as possible to test it out. today was the day!!!
i hardly missed a thing. i went to one of my spots, dropped down 42′ and just waited, waited, and waited. i seen a big kumu swimming to me from far away. i stayed still and tried to get him to come in closer. he was swimming in slowly and i was losing my breath. but these big kumu’s are hard to come by so i just waited. he was kind of far away as he turned away from me. i only had a split second to decide to take the shot. i did from the back. the shaft went in his body and came out near his head. i couldn’t believe how big he was when i brought him up. this is the 2nd biggest kumu i’ve ever speared….
this boy weighed in at 3 lbs. perfect for a party i’m going to tomorrow night….
hey, did you know that the Transportation Secretary of the United States Ray LaHood is telling owners of recalled Toyotas to stop driving the vehicles and get them fixed? i think that is unfair to toyota. just because toyota is a japanese company, he said something like that. i’ve never ever heard the transportation secretary say that about an american recall. and believe me, we have lots and lots. i get a letter from ford once a year of some kind of recall. i wonder how much the united states automobile industry paid him for saying that? probably millions…. dirty ass politicians….
