good morning. woke up at 2:45am and here comes my jetlag. i spent the last 3 hours online at maps and information for my next trip. there’s a lot of things going on in this world and i’m ready for a new experience. where i will go? i still don’t know and won’t know till the day i leave. but i have 2 destinations on my mind now and one is surf, and the other is play. what a tough decision because i want to do both.

remember when the navy ship ran aground on the reef outside sand island in hawaii? well, they had to pay $8M for damaging the reef. then they spent millions on fixing the ship after.
Philippines US Ship Aground
then the recent navy ship that ran aground in the philippines, the navy had to pay $1.5M. then this ship had to get demolished for salvage. a multi billion dollar loss to us poor US taxpayers.

i’ve been keeping track on billabong. their shares just dropped 30% to a record low of 53 cents per share. from $14/share in 2007, to 53 cents a share today. a lot of people lost their life savings as billabong just lost another $93.4 million in the past few days. now the once billion dollar company is worth $256 million now. it probably isn’t a bad time to invest. hopefully will hear some better news next week.
well, better get going. jumping in a taxi to the train station, then a train to shonan, then a car to wakayama, then a ferry to shikoku. i should be in shikoku in 24 hours. the long journey begins!
