omg, molokai is awesome. it’s oahu a 100 years ago. slow life, no stress, wild nature, and so much aloha. after landing, we loaded up the car, went into town to buy groceries, and headed to our vacation house. when i pulled up, i couldn’t believe how big, clean, and how luxury our house was. it sits on top of the hill overlooking the pacific ocean. i slept outside on the deck and awoke by some deer running around in the yard. what a cool place!
yes, slow down and give some aloha. this is molokai! and yeah, no wind mills or cable. keep molokai molokai.
we are not tourist so we don’t go to tourist spots. we explore so when it was time to look for a secret beach, we carried our equipment, cooler, and water down a long dirt road. we ended up walking in the hot sun for an hour and didn’t find the beach. haha. so we got back in the car and went to another one. haha. toda-san and i carrying the heavy bag of dive equipment.
then we have some beers as we watch the sunset at one of the most amazing beaches in the world. toda-san doesn’t drink, but he’s flying high!
picked shells, seen turtles, seen an eagle ray, seen a monk seal, picked opihi, bbq steak and sausage, baked a huge fish, ate, drank, laughed, and slept. what a great first day it was. today is day 2 and we are going exploring this beautiful island. it’s my 3rd time here but first on the west side. what a wonderful world we live in!
